RACE 1: Fairview Racecourse
WHAT A CRACKER has been holding solid form since racing resumed and some normal progression can see him shed the maiden tag. ALPIROD showed plenty to like on debut when runner up here on the turf by a neck but failed to fire in June. He’s entitled a second chance and can bounce back nicely.
Top Tip – WHAT A CRACKER (6)
One to consider – ALPIROD (7)
RACE 2: Fairview Racecourse
LEPRECHAUN ran his best to date when victorious by 6 lengths over track and trip in March and is feared off that effort. MAKING WAVES was touched off by ¾ of a length on yard debut for Sharon Kotzen here on the turf and can find herself in the equation.
Top Tip – LEPRECHAUN (1)
One to consider – MAKING WAVES (2)
RACE 3: Fairview Racecourse
QUINTUS ANGEL has been at the right end of the field in all her runs this season and won’t take much improvement to step into the spotlight and open the account on all-weather bow. RYANAIR is of interest on yard debut for Montana Turner and has been doing good work at other tracks. She’s worth a market check.
Top Tip – QUINTUS ANGEL (1)
One to consider – RYANAIR (2)
RACE 4: Fairview Racecourse
PRINCESS ANGELINE showed plenty to like on local/yard debut for Gavin Smith when 5th here. She can build on that and find herself contesting the finish. ARION EXPRESS has run her career best over the mile on the all-weather here and now upped in trip wouldn’t be out of line scoring on her preferred surface.
Top Tip – PRINCESS ANGELINE (1)
One to consider – ARION EXPRESS (3)
RACE 5: Fairview Racecourse
ONESIE is suited for longer trips but a handicap of this nature is a drop in class and she’s within rights to mount a winning bid. MANINGI INDABA landed 2nd here over 7f on the turf on season/yard debut for Alan Greeff and with the recent spin under her belt will be a presence felt at the finish.
Top Tip – ONESIE (1)
One to consider – MANINGI INDABA (3)
RACE 6: Fairview Racecourse
BENICARLO is a hit and miss operator who can dominate the field or finish dead last. It’s hard to recommend such an operator but he’s undoubtedly talented and if in the mood could take plenty of beating. HOOVES OF TROY is a more conventional selection who has been holding form well and now dropped in class is a good each way option out of barrier 1.
Top Tip – BENICARLO (1)
One to consider – HOOVES OF TROY (2)
RACE 7: Fairview Racecourse
PICK AGAIN has been struggling of late in the higher grades and now dropped this well-raced gelding could rediscover the winning thread over his preferred surface. MISTRESS OF MEANS has a handful of respectable runs over track and trip and could find herself in the money in a fairly ordinary field.
Top Tip – PICK AGAIN (1)
One to consider – MISTRESS OF MEANS (2)
RACE 8: Fairview Racecourse
HIDDEN INFLUENCE is inconsistent but is respected off his short head course and distance win in July. If he reprises that effort he’ll take plenty of stopping but he needs to be in the mood. SOUL TRAIN opened his account over track and trip on 2nd start and must be respected now back on all-weather.
Top Tip – HIDDEN INFLUENCE (2)
One to consider – SOUL TRAIN (4)
RACE 9: Fairview Racecourse
MICROBE seems to have struck some winning form of late but has plenty of poor runs between wins. She’s respected off her track and trip win last time and if she’s able to pick up where she left off she has strong claims to this one. QUAKESHAKE hasn’t been seen in a couple of months and now making debut for Gavin Smith can make a dent off the laurels off her 7f win here when last seen.
Top Tip – MICROBE (1)
One to consider – QUAKESHAKE (4)
