RACE 1: Hamilton Racecourse
TATSTHEWAYTODOIT stepped up from his debut run when narrowly defeated at Thirsk over this trip a fortnight ago. A run like that would make him hard to beat today. SOURCE OF WEALTH has also gone better from debut run and similarly missed by a narrow margin and will be seeking compensation.
Top Tip – TATSTHEWAYTODOIT (5)
One to consider – SOURCE OF WEALTH (7)
RACE 2: Hamilton Racecourse
AIRGLOW had a pleasing return to form last week when 2nd over 6 furlongs at Haydock after a couple of poor finishes. No reason he can’t go one better here. QUANAH won by a head over track and trip late last month but the 3lb rise might just be enough to give AIRGLOW the edge.
Top Tip – AIRGLOW (1)
One to consider – QUANAH (2)
RACE 3: Hamilton Racecourse
TWILIGHT PRINCE missed by a nose on debut over 6 furlongs at Redcar. A little improvement should see him open his account. EXALTED LEADER finished 4th behind TWILIGHT PRINCE and makes a solid place prospect.
Top Tip – TWILIGHT PRINCE (7)
One to consider – EXALTED LEADER (3)
RACE 4: Hamilton Racecourse
EY UP ITS MICK has been in-form since racing resumed, each start better than the last. Last time seen he scored at Haydock after being a bit slow on the jump. Some late speed got him home and the 7lb rise seems fair enough here. Back to back looking good. DIRCHILL scored at Redcar when last seen off a generous mark of 52. A reprise here will require him to overcome softer than preferred track and a 10lb hike.
Top Tip – EY UP ITS MICK (3)
One to consider – DIRCHILL (6)
RACE 5: Hamilton Racecourse
HEART OF SOUL makes plenty of appeal off a mark of 76 after runner up at Doncaster by a length a week back. He doesn’t mind the softer track either which never hurts. THE NAVIGATOR has improved with each run this season and after a couple of bronze medals looks good to go one or two better. Strong each way chance.
Top Tip – HEART OF SOUL (5)
One to consider – THE NAVIGATOR (6)
RACE 6: Hamilton Racecourse
CUBA RUBA disappointed when last seen but past form shows he is much better than that run. This time the benefit of the doubt is awarded and a return to last season’s level will see a competitive bid. DUTCH COED looks enticing off a mark of 62 which he won off last year and deserves respect.
Top Tip – CUBA RUBA (6)
One to consider – DUTCH COED (1)
RACE 7: Hamilton Racecourse
RECLAIM VICTORY seems to have revived her form of a year ago after coming back from a 10 months absence and claiming silver behind an in-form rival. A 1lb higher mark is hardly a worry and compensation looks very doable. PERFECT ROSE had a decent run behind on season and handicap debut and won’t be out of place on the podium.
Top Tip – RECLAIM VICTORY (7)
One to consider – PERFECT ROSE (5)
RACE 8: Hamilton Racecourse
SMEATON scored with plenty in hand a fortnight ago over course and distance. A 7lb rise is fair and is unlikely to keep him down if he brings that vigour today. REMMY D deserves respect on season debut with some strong course form showing he can make an impact if fit enough.
Top Tip – SMEATON (1)
One to consider – REMMY D (5)
