RACE 1: Wincanton Racecourse
FRESH NEW DAWN has been knocking at the door of late and his latest Warwick runner up suggests his time is coming for a chase win. The unchanged 108 mark gives him a solid platform to launch his bid. LLANCILLO LORD has similarly been coming to the boil of late having landed in the money in all 3 runs for Ryan Potter and should be right there once more.
Top Tip – FRESH NEW DAWN (1)
One to consider – LLANCILLO LORD (5)
RACE 2: Wincanton Racecourse
GLOBAL HARMONY has shown plenty to like in the bumpers and continued to show that promise in 2 hurdle starts. Both times she landed 3rd and her latest was behind a very useful rival. This looks like an ideal opening for her to get her own head in front. KILMINGTON ROSE was competitive for most of her Exeter latest before weakening toward the end. Now sporting first-time cheekpieces and going up in trip she might be able to get on the podium if wisened up.
Top Tip – GLOBAL HARMONY (5)
One to consider – KILMINGTON ROSE (7)
RACE 3: Wincanton Racecourse
HUGOS OTHER HORSE had plenty of trouble in the running when landing 2nd on handicap debut at Tuanton. Paul Nicholls often does well here so he’s fancied to go one better off an unchanged 115 mark. TANGO BOY ran well when 5th in a very competitive Cheltenham handicap last month and off an unchanged 117 can get right in the mix.
Top Tip – HUGOS OTHER HORSE (3)
One to consider – TANGO BOY (2)
RACE 4: Wincanton Racecourse
DARLAC was last seen runner up behind a future G3 placed Nicholl’s inmate and that form is enough to see him through this one. With sights lowered and a fair 127 mark this is his to lose. CARRICK ROADS was last seen home by a short head at Sedgefield in first-time cheekpieces and can cause plenty of damage in spite of the 7lb rise handed his way.
Top Tip – DARLAC (1)
One to consider – CARRICK ROADS (5)
RACE 5: Wincanton Racecourse
THAHAB IFRAJ is shooting for a hat trick with an unchanged 106 mark on his side thanks to the latest being a conditional handicap win at Kempton. He’s going to take plenty of beating and can rest on the laurels of his track and trip win that kicked off the streak. NEFF can claim the silver medal off his latest 3rd at Fontwell and is unlikely to be able to land a blow.
Top Tip – THAHAB IFRAJ (7)
One to consider – NEFF (3)
RACE 6: Wincanton Racecourse
FRILLY FROCK was a convincing winner at here back in October at juicy 20/1 odds. Up a mere 4lb for the display she seems to have found her element in chasing and can make it 2 with Tom Scudamore a pleasing booking. PADDYS RUNNER has been improving with each run over fences and can’t be left out of calculations. A place looks likely and Jack Tudor is a solid up and comer in the irons.
Top Tip – FRILLY FROCK (10)
One to consider – PADDYS RUNNER (1)
RACE 7: Wincanton Racecourse
I LIKE TO MOVE IT stormed home by 9+ lengths on bumper debut at Aintree and looks well-primed to follow up under penalty. A 5lb claimer in the saddle helps his chances and the market looks to be giving all the support needed. MONDORA is of interest on debut representing Paul Nicholls who handles his youngsters well.
Top Tip – I LIKE TO MOVE IT (1)
One to consider – MONDORA (6)
