RACE 1: Bath Racecourse Tips
INDIAN SOUNDS has had a great 2020 of strong improvement and progression. This effort culminated in his half-length victory here over track and trip. The 6lb penalty won’t be ideal but he seems to work best over 5f and he should have plenty more to show. GIOVANNI TIEPOLO comes off a solid win over this trip at Windsor and will have something to say today. Expect a serious bid now he’s found his feet over turf.
Top Tip – INDIAN SOUNDS (1)
One to consider – GIOVANNI TIEPOLO (5)
RACE 2: Bath Racecourse Tips
THE GOLDEN UNICORN only found HOT SCOOP too good on debut over track and trip. He showed us all plenty to like about him and without a strong rival looks good for an open account. BRIGHT ARMOUR wasn’t disgraced when 8th on debut and showed to be better off for the run when 4th a fortnight ago. Another bid with some standard improvement should see him go one or two better with an extra 160y of run.
Top Tip – THE GOLDEN UNICORN (6)
One to consider – BRIGHT ARMOUR (1)

CAPPANANTY CON had little luck over the all-weather of late and a change was needed. He took advantage of a very generous 10lb lower turf rating to get a score in over a similar trip here 12 days ago. A 5lb rise is fair and he still has an extremely appealing mark to get another in before the handicapper catches up. GHERKIN was beaten favourite at Doncaster a fortnight ago and will be seeking compensation over a similar trip. He jumps off the same mark and is likely to fight it out with the selection.
Top Tip – CAPPANANTY CON (1)
One to consider – GHERKIN (9)
RACE 4: Bath Racecourse Tips
DELAGATE THIS WORLD is a course veteran with 3 course and distance wins and a further 2 over similar trips here. He comes off a win here in late June and a 5lb rise is nothing he can’t overcome to show the rest how it’s done here. BIG LACHIE is a smart runner and mounted a winning return to turf 2 weeks ago, he also carries a 5lb more but won’t go down without a fight.
Top Tip – DELAGATE THIS LORD (6)
One to consider – BIG LACHIE (9)
RACE 5: Bath Racecourse Tips
SUN TIDE didn’t go unnoticed on debut when 2nd over the mile at Kempton. A similar run today over turf could see her hard to beat. RIDESON has never missed the podium in 7 starts with several narrow defeats. Her turf debut was no different and she has a high standard and remarkable consistency that should reward loyal followers very soon. An obvious each way prospect.
Top Tip – SUN TIDE (13)
One to consider – RIDESON (12)
RACE 6: Bath Racecourse Tips
DUCHESS OF AVON wasn’t far from the action when just over 2 lengths behind the victor when 5th at Kempton on comeback run. Should have learned plenty there and is no stranger to turf success. She took to the drop in trip admirably and a return to turf over good conditions can see her strike. FIVEHUNDREDMILES struck by a nose on the synthetic at Chelmsford last month and failed to reprise on turf at Leicester a fortnight ago. He looks like he may have become the latest victim of the handicapper and needs to improve to stay viable off this mark.
Top Tip – DUCHESS OF AVON (2)
One to consider – FIVEHUNDREDMILES (4)
RACE 7: Bath Racecourse Tips
WILLY NILLY refused to settle when 6th on handicap and season debut but might have just needed a spin. Another run over a mile with a lesson learned can see him make things right. ACCOMPLICE broke a huge loss streak last month on the poly at Lingfield and while not the strongest racer deserves a look off the back of a stylish finish. Watch to see how she handles the 6lb hike.
Top Tip – WILLY NILLY (9)
One to consider – ACCOMPLICE (1)
RACE 8: Bath Racecourse Tips
TENFOLD missed out on handicap bow when ALPHABETICAL was too good for him. Runner-up is nothing to be ashamed of but a drop back to maiden ranks and 2f less run gives him his best chance yet to score against a small and somewhat poor field. AQUASCAPE has shown the textbook go one better approach since debut 5th into 4th before the break. He returned after a break and wind surgery to miss by a short head at Goodwood a month ago and if he follows his plotted trajectory should be able to go one better but may have to settle for another silver.
Top Tip – TENFOLD (4)
One to consider – AQUASCAPE (2)
RACE 9: Bath Racecourse Tips
DEPOSIT is unexposed over these distances and will enjoy the pace of this event. He represents a good value chance and the Simcock yard is in form of late. Camouflaged scored at Chepstow only 5 days ago and has a 6lb rise to contend with. He is more than able to do this but needs some yield in the track.
Top Tip – DEPOSIT (6)
One to consider – CAMOUFLAGED (2)
