RACE 1: Haydock Racecourse
MAYAAS gets a nod on debut for some superb pedigree. Son of BEST TERMS who won the Queen Mary and Lowther and half-brother to two listed race scorers. ANDRONICUS BEAU gets a nod for finishing 7th in the G2 Norfolk Stakes at Royal Ascot.
Top Tip – MAYAAS (4)
One to consider – ANDRONICUS BEAU (1)
RACE 2: Haydock Racecourse
MAGICAL JOURNEY scored on debut and fought hard to finished second in a listed race at Newmarket. Mark of 94 looks okay and had a tough season return, much better suited today. BUNGEE JUMP is in career high form after a narrow defeat at listed level and deserves a nod.
Top Tip – MAGICAL JOURNEY (3)
One to consider – BUNGEE JUMP (1)
RACE 3: Haydock Racecourse
SANDS OF MALI has been struggling at Group 1 level but a significant drop in grade gives him every chance with a bit of breathing space. SNAZZY JAZZY has had steady success at G3 and listed level and makes a strong case here.
Top Tip – SANDS OF MALI (4)
One to consider – SNAZZY JAZZY (5)
RACE 4: Haydock Racecourse
NUTS ST GEORGES dropped in class for season debut and enjoyed a win at Sandown. Replication of last season’s form will do well at this level. MONSIEUR LAMBRAYS converted excellent all-weather form into an excellent silver run at Pontefract last month and shouldn’t be far from it again.
Top Tip – NUTS ST GEORGES (5)
One to consider – MONSIEUR LAMBRAYS (3)
RACE 5: Haydock Racecourse
SUBJECTIVIST made season debut in the King George V Stakes at Royal Ascot and brought home bronze and warrants a fighting chance here. FAVORITE MOON has been consistently improving since debut and pleased as runner up at Doncaster last month, next logical step for improvement is the gold.
Top Tip – SUBJECTIVIST (1)
One to consider – FAVORITE MOON (8)
RACE 6: Haydock Racecourse
CABALETTA won on debut on heavy track and was runner up in a listed race in her two career starts. Lightly raced for sure but those numbers show big things ahead. MANUELA DE VEGA won last month at G3 level and steps up a grade. Last month’s win seems to be in no small amount due to the excellent ride of Rob Hornby so may not fare so well this time.
Top Tip – CABALETTA (7)
One to consider – MANUELA DE VEGA (5)
RACE 7: Haydock Racecourse
SCARLET DRAGON is fresh off an impressive win in the Duke of Edinburgh Stakes at Royal Ascot after jumping at 33/1 odds. Bears a 7lb rise for the trouble but Cieren Fallon’s 3lb claim does not go astray. Looks to be the one to beat. DEJA has 4 wins off 7 starts and shouldn’t be discounted entirely.
Top Tip – SCARLET DRAGON (3)
One to consider – DEJA (2)
RACE 8: Haydock Racecourse
LINCOLN PARK has won over course and distance and was narrowly beaten last start at Chelmsford. A 1lb higher mark should not be an issue and has every chance here. THREE SAINTS BAY finished third by ¼ length at Musselburgh and looks primed for redemption.
Top Tip – LINCOLN PARK (10)
One to consider – THREE SAINTS BAY (3)
RACE 9: Haydock Racecourse
ZIM BABY crushed the opposition winning by a huge seven lengths at Thirsk last week and even a 6lb penalty looks too little here. BANKAWI gets a nod off a win at Thirsk by a nose recently and carries 5lb for the trouble but should be able to handle that and at least bring home a minor cheque.
Top Tip – ZIM BABY (1)
One to consider – BANKAWI (9)
